I am fulfilling the Registered Nurse role at Selah House Outpatient Cincinnati where I assist our clients with the medical side of eating disorder treatment. I received my baccalaureate degree in nursing from Miami University. After becoming an RN, I accepted a position on an intermediate care unit where I have spent the past three years caring for patients within a high acuity setting.
I began pursuing a career with Selah House because I have always had a passion for mental health. I felt especially called to this position because it allows me to care for clients with coexisting medical and mental health needs. Throughout both my professional and personal life, I have seen firsthand the debilitating effects that mental illness can have on an individual’s quality of life. As a nurse in this role, my goal is to help clients manage their health so that they can reach an optimum level of functioning.
Outside of my career, I am married and have two young children. In our spare time, my family and I like to spend our time outdoors, doing things like camping, swimming, or hiking. We also volunteer with an animal rescue where we open our home to foster dogs and puppies in need of a temporary place to stay.
